The Unreal Engine is an incredibly powerful 3D Game Design software. It stream lines all aspects of game design together and is used to make dozens of AAA Game Titles every year.

Skills learned; Level Design, Architecture Design (building buildings), Creating Terrain (mountains, rivers, lakes, etc.), Atmospheric Design (creating lighting and shading to create an atmosphere such as a scary house or a magical foggy forest), AI Design (creating programmed bad guys), Creating game cinematic, The Timeline Editor for moving objects, Physics objects, Destructible meshes, and so much more!

Project Description

First time student games will all include:

  • Custom Terrain & Foliage Cover
  • 1 Large & 3 Medium Sized Buildings
  • 5+ Objects with Physics
  • 2 Custom Materials
  • 2 Custom Particle Effects

Students will create several atmospheric areas (sewer, camp fire at night, misty woods, etc.) as well as at least 1 large open space with custom buildings for either a FPS(First Person Shooter) or Platform Jumping style game.
