Scratch Game Design Tournament
Greetings Scratch Enthusiasts!
Welcome to the Scratch Game Design Tournament.
The tournament will be streamed live on Twitch TV. This way family and friends can watch!
Warning! There will be a 1-minute delay on the Twitch Stream, any inappropriate language or visuals will have you instantly removed from the tournament, and we will delete that part of the stream.
No video from teams will be allowed either. Teams will only be called by their team name and will only share their Scratch game on their screen. And we repeat, NO REAL NAMES are allowed please!

Prize List
- 1st place – $150 amazon gift card
- 2nd place – $75 game stop gift card
- 3rd place – $30 game stop gift card
Note: Prizes are per team
We are in talks with a few tech companies that will be providing judges. They are also planning to add to our prizes!
Tournament Rules & Rundown
- Only team leader must be registered with us, so that’s You!
- Teams will consist of 1-3 players (no more)
- On tournament day all teams will start a brand-new game.
- All teams will share the screen of their main workstation with the referee streaming on twitch.
- The referee will toggle randomly between games and will be commenting live on twitch. Only positive reinforcement!
- Teams will have 3 hours to work on their games.
- At the end of the tournament each team will have 3 minutes to present their finished game to the judges.
Judges will be scoring based on:
- Game Polish/Completeness: 0-10
- Creativity: 0-10
- Animation Usage: 0-10
- Fun Level: 0-10
- Replay-ability: 0-10

- On June 1st everyone will receive a participation check to ask if you will still be joining us. Once you respond with a YES, you will receive an invitation link to the tournament.
- You will also receive a Twitch Live Stream link.
- And you will receive a short 5-minute video to go over rules again, and show you how to connect and share your screen.
