Program Information
Course Description
K’NEX teaches engineering through hands-on, inquiry-based learning. Students learn mechanical engineering principles while having a blast building models of real-world machines (like bridges, vehicles, and roller coasters).
Lessons are designed with a scaffolding curriculum so that students are constantly building on what they can do.
Everyone will learn about:
- Gear ratio and torque by designing different kinds of vehicles.
- Tension, compression, and the power of triangles with bridge building.
- Structural integrity by constructing buildings.
- And so much more!
Age Distinction
Every class the K-2nd and 3rd-5th grade students will be given different age appropriate challenges and will be taught a new engineering concept that is necessary for that day’s challenge.
However, the theme of each class will be the same for everyone, such as bridge building or skyscraper design. This way everyone can learn from each other.

Expectations & Safety
All students are expected to treat their teacher and fellow students respectfully. Bullying, stealing, foul language, and violence of any kind will not be tolerated.
Safety is our #1 priority. Attendance will be taken at check-in and check-out. During check-out students must remain with their teacher until the adult picking them up is present and accounted for.

Refund Policy
If after the first class your child is not enjoying themselves then you may request a full refund. After the first class no other refunds are guaranteed. However, if you have extenuating circumstances then please contact us at info@hitechyeti.com to discuss options.
Payment Plan
At the top of the registration page is the option to pay “Half Now – Half Later”. After 5 weeks you’ll receive a link to pay the second half. Next quarter we’ll be adding an adjustable automated payment plan with no fees.

My mission is to make STEM education FUN, Accessible, and to give kids more opportunities to socialize with like minded peers! I use Zoom to create a positive, safe, and interactive classroom environment anyone can access from home.
