Code Kids – Scratch Summer Camp
Starting June 2 | Monday – Friday
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm (PST)
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm (EST)
Ages: 6-10
Programming = Code + Logic Puzzles
Created by MIT to make coding more available to kids, Scratch has a simple visual interface and uses a block based coding language. It allows young people to create digital stories, games, and animations.
Scratch helps kids of all ages learn computational thinking and problem solving skills! This camp will cover all of the basic concepts in programming, while creating cool games and interactive stories.
Concepts Covered:
– Using Variables
– If Statements
– Loops
– Getting User Input
– Creating Functions
Have a blast learning the basics of coding, while creating cool games, animations, and interactive stories!
